MPMS students working hard in classMont Pleasant serves students in grades 6-8.

Our school is named Mont Pleasant because that is the name of the neighborhood.

Prior to becoming a middle school in 1992, Mont Pleasant was one of the city's two high schools.  The clock tower on top of the school is a city landmark.

Mont Pleasant Middle School is undergoing a $25 million Capital Project renovation to support changes to the district's changes to the grade level configurations in September 2016.  Mont Pleasant is one of three grades 6-8 middle schools.

Our school is filled with a diverse, multi-cultural population.

We have an active parent/teacher/student organization that works to make our school better and make a difference in the lives of our students.

Every student's path to graduation includes excellent teachers, administrators and other caring adults who can help them meet academic expectations, plan for their futures and feel connected to our school.

We stress family engagement and encourage our parents to be active in our school and their children's education.

We strive to ensure that all of our students have the tools, resources and the opportunity to navigate a successful path to graduation and beyond.
